Today was a hard day of removing paneling from the kitchen walls and hauling it to the street. The paneling is actually solid pine about 3/4" thick! It almost seemed shameful to remove it from the walls, but then I reminded myself how ugly it is.... This afternoon while cleaning up the mess with the shop vac, I managed to (unintentinally) suck up a dead field mouse which then got stuck on the end of the vacuum wand. It was so upsetting I had to stop and get Mike to remove it for me.
The plan now is to re-wire some outlets and switches and then put in the drywall and paint it. That should take the rest of the week and next weekend too.
